Located at Mall of the Emirates, the Dubai's Community Theatre and Arts Centre (DUCTAC) offers a year-round programme of theatre productions, gallery exhibitions, dance demonstrations, and workshops. DUCTAC is far more than a community center: the 500-seat Centrepoint Theatre hosts professional and amateur productions and the Gallery of Light exhibits world-renowned artists working in media that include painting, the digital arts, experimental film, and video, sound design, sculpture, and graphic design.
Past exhibitions include works by 2013 UAE Venice Biennale artist Mohammed Kazem, Hassan Sharif, Ebtisam Abdulaziz, William Kentridge, and Sara Al Haddad. And, if you're interested in studying the arts, you can even sign up for a course on pottery, dance or creative writing.
